Jr. Church Coordinator: Barbara Stone

Hi, my name is Barbara Stone. I want to encourage families to attend worship and bring their children. That is why I believe in giving children an opportunity to worship too.

We know that the adult worship is not always the best fit for the younger children. So after the first part of the service we have a separate worship time just for them. We call it Junior Church or Children's Church. This way parents can enjoy the service without being concerned with the natural discomfort of their young ones in a one hour service. You can be assured that your children are well cared for and will have a good time worshipping God in a manner better suited to them.

About Junior Church

Our Junior Church program is for children age 4 through the second grade. It takes place part way through (approximately twenty minutes after the start) the worship service on Sunday mornings. Children gather at the front of the Sanctuary at the Pastor's invitation for prayer with the Pastor and the Junior Church Leaders. The children and their leaders leave the Sanctuary for room W-4 in the Education Wing. What awaits them is a worshipful age-appropriate experience where they can express their praise to God.

Kids Own Worship® Curriculum Selected

August 2007 — The Director of Christian Education approved the selection of Kids Own Worship® by Group Publishing. Junior coordinator Barbara Stone had inquired whether there was curriculum that fit in with the new FaithWeaver® Sunday School curriculum.
